VILLA LUGANO
– OUTDOOR
We met the family in a very early stage of the concept and this resulted in an extensive exchange of ideas and a highly integrated and personalised lighting project.
In the interiors, every item and every corner of the house, had to represent the personal taste and lifestyle of the inhabitants, and of course ensure the comfort in every task to be completed.
On the other hand, the intervention in the landscape and surroundings was thought to serve two goals: maintaining low illumination for a sense of privacy combined with a good visibility for safety.
For this reason, the lighting was introduced for describing the volumes of the house externally, with shileded lighting fixtures, setting the backdrop of the whole garden.
Another focus was given in the swiming pool with wall mounted fixtures inside the water and on the adjacent wall.
The illuminance levels were sufficient for giving a sense of surroundings without illuminating furtherly the green elements and layers.
Adding decorative floor lamps gave out a domestic atmosphere completing the lighting scene.
Working so close with the final user is always challenging, but extremely rewarding when the feedback is so personal.
