The Le Patio luxury apartments lighting project has been a significant creative process for Metis Lighting where experiment and innovation met inspiration and elegance. The bold interior design by Studio A was a background already rich of material, volumes and aesthetics.
The architectural lighting design was integrated literally on every detail and feature with a multitude of details and different lighting fixtures. From lighting coves revealing the textured ceilings, to backlit wall cladding and small downlights inside glass showcases, light underlined every design gesture.
The research for identifying the necessary lighting fixtures with all the particular specifications was extensive, as well as the lighting tests done in the Metis premises.
The Le Patio complex is composed of Reception and Seating areas for the Public, a Showroom for new customers and two luxury Apartments with various amenities.
A series of innovations both in the architectural and the lighting design made this project rather unique. Precious and complex materials and textures juxtaposed – marble, onyx, shimmering and textured plaster – and enhanced by indirect or grazing light, backlight boxes, millwork integrated light and color changing technology.
The challenge was to balance all the design features and visual hierarchies for creating an elegant result, elevating the curiosity and surprise of the guest.
