The design of the lighting fixture was created alongside the development of the new concept for the KARL LAGERFELD store on Regent Street, conceived by Xag studio, and at the specific request of the client. Its design lines incorporate distinctive elements of the architectural concept, translating them into light and thus creating a luminous object characterized by remarkable technical innovation and particularly ingenious and precise in the study of its lighting contribution.

The main inspiration comes from the large projectors used in fashion photoshoots and from circular high-brightness headlights, arranged in series and repetition to emphasize their features, placing the theme of essentiality, of “minimum,” at the center, both for stylistic reasons and structural constraints (low ceilings).  Like large theatrical projectors, redesigned in their minimal and essential lines. Each module of the chandelier constitutes a small lamp in itself: an element designed down to the smallest detail, with a lens reminiscent of a Fresnel lens which, while faithfully reproducing the aesthetics of a high-intensity spotlight, has instead been specifically conceived and manufactured to ensure pleasant, non-glaring, and non-invasive lighting.

The materials and shapes follow the main features of the architectural concept: smooth and reflective aluminum surfaces, edges and technical components in plain sight in stark contrast with softer and more organic elements, in this case a uniform and soft lighting contribution.

The chandelier is interesting, among other reasons, also for its absolute flexibility: in modules of 4x, it is adaptable to any room shape and can be positioned where needed, unmistakably characterizing the environment.
