The new luxury yacht Navetta 30 represents the innovation of Custom Line in terms of comfort and design, as well as in terms of lighting standards.

Metis Lighting was included in the design team since the very beginning, having the chance to integrate lighting design inside this naval architecture, contributing into the transformation of the project itself into a statement.

The interior design was managed by ACPV ARCHITECTS that brought their particular sensibility about the forms and textures, creating an exclusively elegant and welcoming space to sail the seas.

Teak, carbon fibre details and carefully selected textiles set the colour and material palette and light fittings rigorously integrated inside millwork and ceiling details, resulting in a very subtle and discrete atmosphere, where the interior blends with the outdoor and the outside view becomes the absolute protagonist in a context of comfort and easy-living.

Furthermore, Metis Lighting suggested introducing to the lighting fixtures used in the project, especially the ceiling recessed downlights, the warm-dimming technology.

This function means that the light shed on the various features and artwork, as well as the general illumination, when dimmed down during the evening hours, shifts into warmer colour temperature, following the sunset principle.

The warmer lighting hues together with the shielded or concealed lighting fixtures, let the guest’s vision wonder versus the outside scenery completely unobstructed.

Construction-wise, the project itself presented design particularities, such as the significantly reduced ceiling height and clearance, transforming the selection of the lighting fixtures into a design challenge, that would meet all the technical and lighting qualities.

At the same time, all the lighting fixtures, both architectural and decorative, had to meet specific and strict standards compliant with naval design regulations.

All the materials and construction specifications were dedicated to endure the marine environment requirements, without lacking lighting performance, elegance and aesthetics.

Blending technology, inspiration and software knowledge together had been a complex ensemble. But at the end of the day, almost literally, gave the project an interesting added value, contributing into the guest experience.
