Urban flows: Taichung’s new towers
January 24th, 2025
Last December, ACVP ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel announced a significant collaboration with Lien Jade Real Estate for the development of three new towers in Taichung, Taiwan, projects for which Metis Lighting contributed as lighting design consultants.
The distinctive nature of these interventions lies in their deep integration within the urban setting, where the architectural gesture becomes a catalyst for new social dynamics, and where an attentive approach to lighting design plays a positive, active role, transforming the intervention into an instrument of urban culture, shaping nocturnal spaces and illuminating with precision and intentionality.
The interior spaces have also been approached with consciousness and attention, integrating harmoniously with the architectural vision, interpreting and enhancing design intentions through a careful reading of spaces and their functions.
These projects allow us to approach lighting design in its entirety, from the intimate scale of interior spaces to the dialogue with the city, an integrated approach that translates into a subtle balance between people’s wellbeing and the harmony of the urban landscape.
