YACHT
The lighting project of the Savannah Yacht had as primary goal to guarantee the maximum visual comfort in order to never hinder the magic views of the open sea and sky.
Light had to result invisible and the illuminance levels should be balanced between interior and surroundings.
Be it strictly functional light, for guiding the guest throughout the various spaces of the yacht, or focal light on the interior design features and precious artwork, every fixture and detail had to be meticulously integrated and carefully shielded and concealed.
Another challenge of the naval design, other than the restricted dimensions of the light fittings, was the requirement to not exceed a certain amount of lighting points, wiring and feeding units along with them.
Those particular conditions where the framework for elaborating the lighting project for the Savannah yacht, blended with a certain amount of creativity.
The whole process required an extensive collaboration with the interior designers, builders, millworkers, electricians, as well as lighting products manufacturers.
Along with them came a several amount of products that were customized for achieving the maximum coordination between lighting criteria, interior finishings and high quality construction materials.
All of the materials and lighting fixtures had to be compliant with special marine requirements adequate for extreme conditions.
Each fixture installed in the Savannah Yacht came along with maintenance manuals, to be used by the crew on-board on any emergency, or fixture failure.
The same stands for any millwork with integrated light and small recessed spotlight being all a result of a very tedious study.
In the end the resulting Savannah Yacht magic environment, ready to sail every sea and condition, was extensively acknowledged and awarded in various categories.
